In abdominal NMR Imaging, the respiratory motion results in the motion artifacts such as ghosts and blurs. Respiratory reordered phaseencoding technique is effective to correct the ghosts but blurs of moving parts persist. A new optimal respiratory reordering scheme is proposed to correct blurs as well as ghosts through the analysis of the respiratory motion effects in the phase-encoding direction. The performance of the proposed optimal respiratiory reordering scheme is studied by both computer simulations and experiments. In addition, the ghost power density spectrum is introduced to provide the analytical view to the ghosts caused by the respiratory motion.
