TCP Reno is the one of the most widely used congestion control method. This simple method has performed very well over the wired networks. It treats the occurrence of packet loss as a manifestation of networks congestion. However, it is not suitable for wireless networks, since the packet loss is often induced by noise, link error, or reasons other than network congestion. A number of researches have been devised to improve TCP performance for the wireless environments.
Among them, using EWA, we propose two algorithm in this thesis. We introduce analytic model of proposed algorithm and prove the system based on our algorithm to be asymptotically stable. Simulation results and equilibrium points show that our algorithm not only assures the fair sharing of resources, but also improves the network efficiency. Finally, we check the overshoot of the system and suggest the proper gain.
