CHILL monitor is a small operating system kernel for concurrent processing in the CHILL program. The CHILL monitor is a basic component of the CHILL programming environment which is composed of the CHILL compiler, the debugger, the test manager, the target interface, and the CHILL monitor.
We designed and implemented the KAIST CHILL monitor for concurrent processing and an interface function between CHILL application programs and the CHILL monitor. The KAIST CHILL monitor is implemented under the UNIX operating system.
We investigated several methods of concurrency control in order to design the CHILL monitor. We surveyed several management systems for the CHILL concurrent processing in other organizations.
