An interactive lesson editor system which can assist PLATO lesson authoring is presented. An author can draw graphic displays or write text by issuing on-line commands. Moreover, displayed frame images can be converted into the equivalent program codes. Displayable graphic images are dots, lines, boxes, circles, arrowed lines and consecutive graphic primitives. Text can be placed onto the desired screen position and can be edited by the text editing subcommands. Additional full-screen buffer storages are used for text editing. The system has been programmed in Tutor and installed on Cyber-170/835 PLATO system.
