dc.description.abstract | New polymeric phthalocyanine derivatives, poly[(9,10,16,17, 23,24-hexa(2- ethylhexyloxy)-2-(4-pentenyloxy)dihydrogenphthalocyanine)methylsiloxane] [ PS-$C_5$-$H_2Pc$(OEtHx)$_6$] and poly[ 9,10, 16,17,23,24-hexa(2-ethylhexyloxy)-2- (4-pentenyloxy)copperphthalocyanine)methylsiloxane] [PS-$C_5$-CuPc(OEtHx)$_6$)], were synthesized by graft of 1,2-di(2-ethylhexyloxy)-4,5-dicyanobenzene on the precursor polymer, poly[(1-(4-pentenyloxy)-3,4-dicyanobenzene) methylsiloxane]. They were identified by $^1H$ NMR, $^{13}C$ NMR, UV/visible absorption, and IR spectroscopy. According to the GPC analysis, the average molecular weight was $1.8\times10^4$ for PS-$C_5$-$H_2Pc$(OEtHx)$_6$ and $5\times10^3$ for PS-$C_3$-CuPc(OEtHx)$_6$. These polymers in dilute solution of chloroform showed the UV/visible spectra corresponding to the composite of coupled and uncoupled species. This indicated that coupled species were due to intramolecular interaction between the Pc-units in the polysiloxane | eng |
