dc.description.abstract | In this paper, an analytical guidance law is developed for homing missiles with field-of-view (FOV) constraints to intercept a maneuvering target from the desired approach direction. Firstly, using a relative virtual reference frame, the original problem of a constant-speed missile intercepting a maneuvering target is transformed into an equivalent problem of a speed-varying missile pursuing a stationary target. Then, a new sliding surface is designed under the relative virtual reference frame. The desired approach direction and FOV constraint can be achieved by making the missile system states reach the sliding surface and then stay on it. Finally, the finite time control technique is employed to derive a feedback guidance law, and numerical simulations are conducted under various scenarios to validate the effectiveness of the proposed methods. | - |
