Securinega alkaloids have captivated the synthetic community due to their high structural complexity, diversity, and potent bioactivities. While the synthesis of monomeric securinega alkaloid is well-established, the synthesis of their biosynthetic derivatives, including dimeric(oligomeric) securinega alkaloids and high-oxidation state derivatives, remains relatively underexplored due to their increased structural complexity. This dissertation encompasses the synthesis of high-oxidation state securinega alkaloids, fluvirosaones A, B, and secu′amamine A, flueggeacosine A, B, and suffranidine B. Synthesis of the aforementioned compounds, except secu′amamine A, were accomplished for the first time, by mimicking biosynthetic pathways or developing novel synthetic methodologies.
