Business Process Monitoring enables companies to monitor their operational workflow. For mobile business processes (MBP), monitoring is particularly challenging, because the work is being performed at changing locations or while moving between locations. Equipping business artifacts with IoT-based sensors and using the mobile network to transmit the data has enabled the autonomous monitoring of MBPs. However, this makes the quality of the monitoring dependent on the quality-of-service (QoS) provided by the mobile network. In this thesis it has been investigated, how QoS can be optimized for the MBP monitoring use case. Reservation-based scheduling has been identified as a promising approach to ensure the availability of network resources for the scheduled execution of process activities. However, due to the mobile network lacking key capabilities to support it, a custom simulator was developed to assess is effectiveness. The results show that the approach is capable to satisfy QoS in the experiment scenario.
