This thesis presents the results of two studies on enhancing the device performance and stability mechanism of wide bandgap perovskite for high-efficiency tandem solar cells. Alkali acetate's universality and its impact on enhancing energy alignment and interfacial defect passivation were tested. More research was done on the stability of light illumination through in-situ atomic probe force microscopy. In the end, a high-efficiency perovskite/CIGS tandem was achieved by combining light illumination studies with additional research on CIGS bandgap grading and current density engineering.
