A low-energy 40MHz / 160MHz dual band full duplex body channel communication (BCC) transceiver and 13.56MHz R-C oscillator-based super-regenerative receiver are integrated in 65nm mixed mode CMOS process for both highspeed (HS) and low-speed (LS) biomedical applications. The body channel bandwidth is extended up to 200MHz, enabling energy efficient and wide bandwidth communication. The on-chip R-C duplexer uses notch filters for full duplex communication with 40Mb/s data rate and combined dual band operation shows 80Mb/s data-rate with half duplex communication. The R-C oscillator-based super-regenerative receiver achieves >60dB interference rejection (Q-factor over 1000) with 100kb/s data rate and 42.5μW power consumption under 0.8V supply.
