Optical micro-tomographic study of Babesia microti- parasite infected red blood cells

Abstract

The morphological, biochemical and mechanical alteration of host red blood cells due to parasitization by Babesia microti infection are investigated using a laser holographic microtomography, as noninvasive and label-free optical technique.
