dc.description.abstract | In this paper, a novel turbulent microfluidic emulsifier is shown. The emulsifier is fabricated by commonly used poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) and glass substrates bonded by a strongly cross-linked nano-adhesve layer deposited via initiated chemical vapor deposition (iCVD). Unlike conventional microfluidic devices, the turbulent microfluidic emulsifier is able to operate at turbulent regime (Re ∼ 4423) allowing emulsification of Si oil at a rate of ∼10 | - |
