A novel model of energy expenditure trend for calorie tracker application was derived in this study. The model provides a solution for consumed calorie estimation in repetitive short-term movements of children's daily life. The model was obtained from non-linear piece-wise curve fitting of children's real exercise data. It shows the feasibility to predict the calorie consumption in short-term movement case and could enhance the performance of the calorie tracker for children.-
