Mitigation of Scintillation Using Temporally and Spatially Incoherent Spectrum-Sliced Light Source

We propose and demonstrate a temporally and spatially incoherent spectrum-sliced light source for mitigating scintillation in free-space optical communications. The experimental results show this light source improves the receiver sensitivity by 5.9 dB, compared to EML.
