Label-free and rapid quantification of the lipid contents in individual microalgae using optical diffraction tomography

Abstract

We demonstrate label-free and non-invasive quantification of the lipid inside individual microalgae, Nannochloropsis oculata, from the three-dimensional refractive index distribution measured using optical diffraction tomography.
