Implantable Waveguides for Deep-Tissue Photoactivation

We demonstrated biopolymer waveguides that are gradually resorbed by the tissue and used them for wound closure. The waveguides enabled a 10-fold extension of the photoactivated tissue area in comparision with conventional photochemical bonding.
