In recent years, the exponential increase in biometric authentication has led to rising concerns about the security of biometric data. Conventional software-based biometric protection methods have been plagued with critical problems such as being vulnerable to security attacks and high complexity. To solve these problems, a biometric protection method that is secure and has low complexity is required. The memristor array has been used in various applications by taking advantage of the low complexity of vector-matrix multiplication and the randomness of memristors. In this thesis, we propose an irreversible ECG template protection method that combines ECG data with a conductance key using low-complexity vector-matrix multiplication through a memristor array. The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance, security, and complexity of the ECG biometric authentication system using Memristive Hashing and to present the device characteristics suitable for the system.
