Theoretical studies on the regio-, stereo-, and chemo-selectivity of various reactions of compounds containing 5-membered aromatic rings오각형 방향족 고리를 포함한 화합물의 다양한 반응에서의 위치 선택성, 입체 선택성, 화학 선택성에 관한 이론적인 연구
Five-membered aromatic rings have been served as useful synthetic building blocks for the synthesis of various invaluable chemical compounds. Despite significant developments on the reaction with these compounds, controlling the selectivity in the reaction has been one of the challenging objective. Understanding the reaction mechanism should be first preceded to enable tuning the selectivity. In this thesis, we studied the mechanism and selectivity of the stereoselective furan ring-opening, regioselective transannulation of 1,2,3-thiadiazole, and chemoselective transformation of azulene by using computational chemistry.
