dc.description.abstractIn this study, three different estimation methods are proposed to estimate the winds experienced during the flight by short-range air-to-surface missiles. The wind estimation method is largely consisted into two parts. The one part is the high fidelity flight dynamics simulation of missile, and another part is the random wind generation. The proposed wind estimation methods can be distinguished by how to use the simulator and how to generate the random winds. The first method requires telemetry data of flight test and high-altitude wind database at the test site. The second method estimates wind by telemetry data of flight test without wind database. The third method is to estimate the wind in real time without any wind database. In this study, the estimation performance of three different estimation methods are presented and compared with various wind and flight conditions including sensor and modeling error.-
