dc.description.abstractSemiconductor dot-in-rod (DIR) particles are in the spotlight as an important material in the nanotechnology field due to their unique characteristics such as efficient charge transport and linear polarization. Among them, research is actively being conducted to use linear polarization characteristics in the display field, and in particular, DIR particles with highly linearly polarized light can increase the transmittance of the polarizer. In this study, the change in polarization emission characteristics according to the core position of the CdSe/CdS DIR structure was studied. The position of the core was adjusted from the center to the end of the DIR paricles, and the linear polarization was analyzed by measuring them in the ensemble film state and the single nanorod state, respectively. As a result, it was confirmed that when the core was located in the center, it had the highest linearly polarized light and decreased toward the end. It was revealed that this phenomenon is because when the core is located at the end, the overlap effect between the electron and the hole wave function decreases due to the strain caused by the electric field.-
