dc.description.abstractTriple negative breast cancer affects tens of thousands of women all around the world. Out of many TNBC targets, STAT3 is proven to have oncogenic potentials in the TNBC and several STAT3 inhibitors have been developed. However, because of several disadvantages, low stability, membrane permeability, and specificity, many STAT3 inhibitors failed to be used at the clinics. In this research, I propose a new specific regimen for TNBC. This new regimen is a combination of phosphotyrosine-STAT3 specific antibody and a delivery vehicle called exosomes. By compensating low stability and membrane permeability with exosomes and low specificity with antibody, combination of antibody and exosomes will show synergistic therapeutic potential. In addition, from this study, I was first to confirmed the therapeutic potential of specifically targeting phosphotyrosine-STAT3 in TNBC compared to existing studies that indirectly inhibited phosphotyrosine-STAT3 using small chemicals, protein knockdown and dominant negative form expression.-
