dc.description.abstractThe dynamic behaviors of steel frames subjected to ground excitations are investigated mainly by using two different inelastic analysis methods and the results are compared with those obtained by an elastic analysis. It has been observed that dynamic responses of structures obtained by inelastic models can be smaller than those obtained by the elastic model, in the case where the natural frequency of the structure is smaller than the dominant frequency of the ground excitation.eng
