In carbon calculator study, the physical and chemical $CO_2$ emissions on conventional type of C-WTP were estimated by developed water treatment process specified carbon calculator. $CO_2$ emissions on MF membrane system including ozone disinfection system were also investigated to compare $CO_2$ emission results. The total physical and chemical $CO_2$ emissions on C-WTP were 2,817kg$CO_2$e/d and 790$kgCO_3e/d$, respectively, when treating $200,000m^3$ of 10NTU raw water into 0.1NTU with use of aluminum sulfate as coagulants. The physical $CO_2$ emissions were larger than chemical $CO_2$ emissions mainly due to high electrical energy consumption on rapid mixing and flocculation processes. Replacing membrane system, treating same amount of 10NTU water into 0.005NTU produced 5,798$kgCO_3e/d$ of physical $CO_2$ emission and 474$kgCO_3e/d$ of chemical $CO_2$ emission, respectively. While chemical $CO_2$ emissions were lower than conventional system by diminished use of coagulants, physical $CO_2$ emissions were much higher because of huge electricity dissipation on membrane and ozone generation system. The overall $CO_2$ emissions of membrane system were 2,665$kgCO_3e/d$ much than conventional system. Based on results, strategies and recommendations were suggested to mitigate $CO_2$ emissions on WTP. CDM validity study was also conducted to propose better and more adaptable CDM scenario on WTP. Possible 4 scenarios; improvement of pumping efficiency, hydro power plant construction, solar panel and system optimization on rapid mixing process were considered as case study type of research on S-WTP. NPV of each scenario was calculated based on sensitivity analysis with the changeable factors to recognize CDM validity percentile. Hydro power plant construction was the best option for CDM business as 97.76% validity with $1,127,069 mean profit.
