A lot of Earth observation satellites are mainly operated in low earth orbit since they can obtain a higher image quality at lower altitudes. However, at super-low altitudes below 300 km, satellites are subjected to a large drag force by the atmosphere, which is fatal to the maintenance and lifespan. This research focuses on the development of a small (<100kg) spacecraft structure design which is suitable for super-low altitude (300km) operation. In this paper, a design concept and detailed design of the structural model are presented. Additionally, a structural model is manufactured, and the launch environment test is performed based on the test specification, considering the load conditions of the virtual candidate launch vehicle. As results, the developed spacecraft structural model is verified to be structurally safe.
