Ground deformation related to tunnel construction results from the change in effective stress of the underlying soil, posing threats to buildings, underground facilities, and people's safety. Thus, monitoring and predicting ground deformation are crucial to prevent the risk and mitigate damage from such a hazard. This study applied the Sentinel-1 Persistent Scatterer Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (PS-InSAR) technique for long-term remote monitoring of tunneling-induced ground deformation. The Gompertz function model is fitted to the PS-InSAR results and used to predict the behavior of ground subsidence. The maximum subsidence along the radar line-of-sight (LOS) estimated throughout the monitoring period from September 2016 to August 2020 in Guri, Republic of Korea, exceeds 50 mm, whereas the LOS mean displacement velocity reaches -15 mm/yr. Overall, the modeled results using the Gompertz function show excellent agreement with the PS-InSAR displacement estimates.
