Dispersion engineered hetero-slot waveguides for broadband on-chip second-harmonic phase-matching

We present an approach to achieve broadband second-harmonic phase-matching by engineering modal dispersions in a hetero-slot waveguide. High conversion efficiencies are achievable with a large modal overlap in a highly confined nonlinear slot area.
