Multi-Beam Metasurface Scheme using Polarization Matching for Improving Resource Efficiency

This paper presents a new approach for efficient resource utilization. The proposed method makes efficient use of resources by adaptively applying polarization matching (PM) using the polarization information of users. Since the increasing transmission power of 6G communication with extreme path loss imposes environmental issues and hardware burden, the transmission power needs to be used efficiently. Multi-beam metasurface (MBM) using PM enables efficient use of transmit power by reducing unnecessary resource use. Formulas and guidelines for the proposed method are presented to aid understanding and simulated at 140 GHz for verification. The proposed method can be considered to improve resource efficiency in 6G communication.
