High pressure swirl injection haracteristics of a GDI injector in the crossflow up to 15m/s wereinvestigated to study the interaction between flow and pray. The velocity 15m/s was selected to simulate the averaged mean velocity in the cylinder when the fuel is injected late in the cylinder for the engine to make stratified combustion.
