dc.description.abstractIn the present age, polymer with variety as numberless as the sands become essential requisite in term of industry and practical life. The synthesis of polymers with diverse physical properties has been achieved with various monomers and catalysts. Among them, organometallic complexes were used to catalyze polymerization with strong reactivity and narrow polymer’s molecular weight distribution. Titanium based catalysts are widely used for olefin polymerization and many ring-opening polymerization. In this thesis, several new ligands were developed with amines and imines synthesized from the 2,2’-dihydroxy carbonyl structure. The ligands were designed to modulate the catalyst’s reactivity and selectivity by their structural characteristics. Here the synthesis new types of tiatnaium(IV) complexes and their catalytic polymerization reactions are described.-
