For the last several decades, several branches of chemistry have continuously treated reaction controls due to the potential impacts of these researches. To be specific, the study of how a single molecule interacts with the monochromic lights is one of big concerns in physical chemistry (especially, a division of reaction control). Scientists have discovered a fact that the vibrational excitation in ground state affects the photodissociation of molecules in their excited states during last twenty years. Even in recent days, they have tried to understand aforementioned natural principles more. In this thesis, physicochemical properties of mercapto- or methylmercapto- derivatives are covered experimentally in which they are known molecules that could undergo vibrational mode dependent photodissociation in excited electronic states. Conformer specific methyl-internal-rotation of methylated derivatives, substituted position dependent kinetic energy of photofragments of their photodissociation, and isotopomers’ vibrational normal mode dependent photodissociations are investigated, respectively. Sudden anisotropy change near conical intersection seam would be treated as well. Also, vibrationally mediated photodissociation using excitation of vibrations in ground electronic state of simple molecules are shown. In line with this concept, the possibilities of whether this reaction control could be applicable to the polyatomic molecules are researched.
