Making interactive kinetic toy play (IKTP) helps children to learn technologies, improve hands-on skills and expand creativity at the same time. We conducted a formative study to identify the difficulties and needs during the creation. It was revealed that making IKTP appeals to elementary school users as a learning experience. From the study, we figured out design considerations and proposed IK3T, a STEAM educational toolkit. IK3T contains a modularized hardware toolkit with a mobile AR app to support users to create IKTP.-
