Covalent-organic frameworks (COFs) are highly stable porous materials with high crystallinity, large surface area, and structural predictability. In addition, various structures of COFs are applicable to the field of gas sorption, selective permeation, semiconducting materials, and photoconduction. This thesis has introduced developing new materials by functionalization of COF pores, including solid-state electrolyte for highly efficient and stable lithium batteries, and photochemical and electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide, which is side product of combustion of fossil fuels.
