The generation of hot electrons by LSPR is being applied to photovoltaic cells, photo catalysts with its high energy. To occur LSPR in photovoltaic cells, connected nanostructures is needed, which are typically used with disordered structure. In order to accurately compare the different metals that represent the LSPR phenomenon; moreover, to be applied to photocatalytic devices, order-arrays of nanostructures is essential. In this study, using nanosphere lithography technology, plasmonic nanodiodes of net-hole arrays is fabricated, and the optical properties of nanostructures are observed. In addition, gold and silver, which exhibit LSPR, are compared to their optical properties in the same structure. As a result, plasmonic Ag nanodiodes showed higher photocurrent density and IPCE intensity compared to Au counterparts as a factor of 26 and 71, respectively.
