Low Cross Polarization Triangle Magnetic Dipole Antenna for Wide-Angle Beam Scanning

In this paper, we proposed new magnetic dipole antenna in the shape of a triangle at 5.8 GHz. The proposed antenna has a compact size of 0.39 lambda(0) x 0.38 lambda(0) x 0.031 lambda(0). The proposed antenna has wide half-power beam width (HPBW) and low cross polarization because of magnetic current distribution. The cross polarization of the proposed antenna is about -71 dB in the E-plane and -99.6 dB in the H-plane. The HPBW of proposed antenna is about 176.7 degrees in the E-plane and 86.8 degrees in the H-plane.
