Generally, display used in PCs, notebooks, e-books and signage should have a hard surface with less glare to improve readability and visibility. For this purpose, in conventional displays, anti-glare treated glass is used or anti-glare plastic films are attached to the surface. However, these method has limitation. For example, it can reduce the transparency and the hardness. Furthermore, for next generation displays, which is flexible displays, glass cannot be used in display. Therefore, development of the anti-glare film with hard surface is required in these days. As a process to solve this problem, flexible hard coating for foldable displays are developed in our group last year. [1] It is highly transparent and shows excellent wear resistance. However, it shows no anti-glare property unfortunately. Herein, we fabricated the anti-glare GFRHybimer film with flexural hard surface to realize the anti-glare hard surfaces. Due to the glass-fabric in the film, it has low C.T.E and no glass-transition temperature. Furthermore, it satisfies the anti-glare property while maintaining its hardness and scratch resistance very high. It shows 3H pencil hardness and excellent scratch resistance. In addition, it shows high transparency about 90% which is very similar to glass. Fig. 1(a) shows surface analysis of GFRHybrimer film. Due to this flexure surfaces, it can show anti-glare property. From the Fig. 1(b), left side is very glossy and the external light was reflected from the monitor, whereas right side is less glossy due to the anti-glare property of hard coated GFRHybrimer films. And Fig. 1(c) represents that it is highly transparent in visible region. Furthermore, thanks to the glass-fabric in the film, it has good storage modulus and elastic modulus as well.
