dc.description.abstractRelative-intensity-noise (RIN) of <-140 dB/Hz over broad offset frequency (20 Hz - 1 MHz) of mode-locked Er-fiber oscillator output is demonstrated by optical bandpass filtering. Optical filtering also reduces the Er-doped fiber amplifier output RIN by ∼10-dB.-
