In this paper, based on the pulsating voltage analysis, a CM noise reduction method of the back-to-back BPFC is introduced. In this method, two types of pulsating voltage, a pulsating voltage in the switching cycle and a pulsating voltage in the line input voltage, are considered. Based on the analysis, a proper design method of selecting the external large capacitors of inrush diodes is presented. The feasibility of the proposed analysis and method is verified by the experiments with 800W /400V prototype. From the experiments, the validity of the presented design method about CM noise reduction is validated. Therefore, the proposed analysis and method is adaptable to reduce the CM noise of back-to-back BPFC by supporting proper selecting guide for the external capacitors of inrush diodes.
