dc.description.abstract | A protein is expressed via transcription and translation from a gene. In organisms, proteins undergo post-translational modification step to regulate protein-protein interactions. It is thought that the malfunctioning of post-translational modification causes diseases, and many researches are ongoing on this topic. In this thesis, amongst various post-translational modification, acetylation is visited. To express acetylated proteins, not mimic, I adopted site-specific unnatural amino acid incorporation technique, and I was able to express acetylated lysyl-tRNA synthetase and tau protein. | - |
