dc.description.abstract | This paper presents a wideband and highly linear Transimpedance amplifier with improved nested feedforward compensation. The proposed TIA employs Rauch structure and incorporates an OTA with an improved feedforward frequency compensation scheme. Rauch TIA architecture improves out-of-band selectivity, achieving high OOB IIP3 of TIA. The main ideas of improved feedforward compensation are adding ac-coupling capacitors in feedforward path and current re-use technique of feedforward stage, achieving high gain and wide bandwidth OTA. The proposed TIA was designed in TSMC 65nm CMOS technology. The TIA achieves 80MHz bandwidth and 38dBm out-of-band IIP3 with power consumption of 14.2mW occupying 0.037mm$^2$ for area of TIA core. | - |
