$SnSe_2$-graphene composites as electrode for magnesium ion battery셀레늄화 주석 그래핀 복합체 마그네슘이온 전극 소재에 관한 연구

Many IT based application such as smartphones or hybrid cars are used. One of the importance things consisting of IT based application is rechargeable battery. Demand and market of rechargeable battery are increased due to larger IT market. Especially, many researchers interested in lithium ion battery. Lithium ion battery has high energy density owing to small ion size. However, lithium ion batteries have serious problem in battery safety issue. It is susceptible to temperature or chemical reactions, causing uncontrollable and explosive accidents. Smartphone battery are exploded at high temperature. In addition, due to the limited amount of resources, lithium is expected to be lacking in the future. As a result, various studies have been study on other ion battery. Studies based on magnesium ion batteries are conducted. Magnesium is stable compared to lithium or sodium. It has high energy density because magnesium ion is multivalent ion. For example, there are various studies related to tin-based materials. In this thesis, it has studied on the electrochemical performance of $SnSe_2$-graphene composites based on magnesium ion battery. First, we synthesized $SnSe_2$ nanosheets using solvothermal process. Second, we synthesized $SnSe_2$-graphene composites. Compare the electrochemical performance of $SnSe_2$-graphene composites and $SnSe_2$ nanosheets to find the function of graphene composites.
