dc.description.abstract | Poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) has received a great deal of attention in organic electronic field in that it has obviously controllable morphology and high crystallinity to be applied as various organic electronic applications. Nevertheless, the mechanical weakness of polymer film was the ultimate limitation of commercialization. Therefore, we suggested that the regioregular-regiorandom P3HT regioblock copolymer approach by using living characteristics of GRIM polymerization to obtain both high electrical and mechanical properties. We synthesized the series of P3HTs composed of identical length of crystallizable regioregular block and different length of amorphous regionrandom block in each polymer. Then, we produced well-defined nanowires using the solution self-assembly of regioregular-regiorandom P3HT regioblock copolymer to construct highly ordered electron channel. We observed the small amount of regiorandom block facilitated the formation of longer assembly structure and excessive length of that block hindered the growth of assembly. This was corresponded with the charge carrier mobility. The hole mobility was improved as a degree of order after progressed with solution assembly and it depended on the length of assembly structures. | - |
