dc.description.abstract | A 5th Generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data rate than a 4G communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE) is provided. A method of an evolved Node B (eNB) can include detecting a collision caused by first data received from a first terminal in a time resource for contention-based uplink data transmission and second data received from a second terminal in the time resource, determining a first delay value in first data retransmission using a dedicated scheduling scheme, and determining a second delay value in the first data retransmission using a contention-based uplink data transmission scheme, determining a scheme for retransmitting the first data based on the first delay value and the second delay value, and transmitting information indicating the determined scheme to the first terminal. | - |
