dc.description.abstractThe performance of GdBaCo2/3Fe2/3Cu2/30 5+Ò(FC-GBCO• x wt.% GdO.ICeO.90 1.95 (GDC) (x=O to 50) composite cathode has been investigated for their potentiaI application in intermediate-temperature s이 id oxide fueI cells (IT-SOFCs). The thermaI expansion behavior shows that the TEC va1ue of FC-GBCO cathode decreases great1y with GDC addition. The composite cathode of FC-GBCO - 40wt.% GDC (CG40) coated on Gdo1CeO.901.95 e1ectro1yte showed the Iowest area specific resistance (ASR) i.e., 0.041 ncm2 at 750 Oc. An electrolyte supported (300 μm thick) single-cell configuration of CG40/GDClNi-GDC attained a maximum power density of 800 mWcm.2 at 800 Oc. The unique composite composition of CG40 exhibited enhanced electrochemicaI performancζ reduced TEC and good chemicaI compatibility with CGO electrolyte compared with their FC-GBCO cathode for IT-SOFCs.-
