The rechargeable battery research is one of the fundamental issues in current energy technology. Over the past few years, Li-ion battery are regarded as promising energy storage system for electronic device, electrical vehicle and electrical grid. However, the increasing demand of Li ion battery, unequal division and limited of lithium sources becomes an obstacle for using Li-ion battery in large scale applications. The sodium(Na) is one of the altemative ion to replace lithium. The resource of sodium is almost inexhaustible and unlimited. A Na-ion battery represents a significant opportunity for the lower cost. In this work, NaxMnO2 cathode electrode material has been synthesized and examined the insertion/extraction reaction of Na-ion. The cathode electrode materials were synthesized by the modified Pechini process and characterized by XRD , SEM and TEM. The electrochemical property was characterized by cyclic voltarrlmetry and galvanostatic cycle test. For better understanding of electrochemical property Na-ion battery, difusivity of Na-ion was measured using impedance spectroscopy technique.
