dc.description.abstract | We demonstrate experimentally an optical burst add-drop multiplexing functions for WDM ring network applications. Burst identifiers control add/drop of 10-to 100-usec optical data bursts. Optical burst amplification and transmission at 9.953 Gbit/s rate are demonstrated in this paper.
