dc.description.abstract | Sensors in Wireless Sensor Network systems (WSNs) operates in energy constrained environment while they use battery for their energy source. In WSNs, not only delay and throughput, but also network lifetime and energy efficiency in data transmission in one of the most important objectives unlike the general networks. In this paper, we propose a dual radio WSNs using heterogeneous radios simultaneously as data radios, and we design a MAC layer protocol, Double-MAC, for dual radio system. We provide theoretical and experimental analysis on suggested dual radio WSNs compare to the traditional single radio WSNs in the aspects of various network objectives. | - |
