Among the power supply method for heavy duty truck driving long-distance, engine idling should be replaced because of its low efficiency, carbon dioxide emission, and high noise level. As an alternative, we suggest solid oxide fuel call-auxiliary power unit, which can reduce carbon dioxide emission due to higher electric efficiency and achieves low noise level. In this thesis, we perform modeling for diesel reformer as a part of the unit. First, establish kinetic model to find the model best describes experimental data. After that, the kinetic model goes to dynamic model of the reformer to estimate the temperature and composition. Simulation results are compared with experimental data.
