Toxic liquid bipropellants have been extensively used for space propulsion systems and military technology because they have high performance with great storability. Especially, the hypergolicity of the toxic combinations also can provide high reliability on the (re)ignition mechanism with respect to the rocket operation. In modern rocket technology, Owing to the high development costs and heavy safety precautions for handling the conventional toxic hypergolic propellants, the need for the use of non-toxic hypergolic propellants has globally increased. In the dissertation, the ignition and combustion characteristics of non-toxic hypergolic propulsion were deeply explored. The scope of the research not only covered the inherent characteristics of non-toxic hypergolic propellants, but also included the propulsive characteristics of non-toxic hypergolic thruster.
