The white light emitting diode (W-LEDs) have received significant interests in solid state lighting industry, due to its high energy efficiency, long lifetime, and environmental friendly characteristics. Color rendering index, one of the important issues in white LED lightings, is the ability of a light source to reveal the colors in comparison with a natural light source. In case of white LEDs, they use a phosphor which is excited by the emission from LED chip and emitting visible lights, as light convertor for high quality of white light. In these days, the researches about phosphors which have high luminescence efficiency and modified emission and excitation wavelength for white LEDs with high color rendering. In this study, we adjust the modified metathesis reaction method for synthesis of high efficient nitride phosphors with lower temperature and pressurized condition, and develop high efficient novel halo silicate phosphors for fabricate high quality white LEDs.
