본 발명은 포스포에놀피루베이트 카르복시키나제A(pckA) 유전자, 이를 포함하는 재조합 벡터 및 상기 재조합 벡터로 형질전환된 숙주세포에 관한 것이다. 또한, 본 발명은 상기 형질전환된 숙주세포를 이용하여 사과산을 높은 생산성으로 생산하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 사과산의 생산 방법에 의하면, 종래의 사과산 생산 공정을 대체할 수 있다.
